‘Howard Joseland: An angler in print 1887–1930’ is a project about the writings of architect and Australian fly fishing pioneer Howard Joseland. Research and editorial collaboration with Jim Findlay, published 2022. Special edition of 200 numbered copies: 250 x 180 mm; 308 pages; quarter bound in two colours of art leather; slipcase in art leather, French fold jacket, illustrated endpapers; inlaid titles on the front board. Published under The Joseland Society imprint.

Bi-monthly national magazine of Australian Mensa

 

TableAus is the national magazine for Australian Mensa. 40 to 72 pages, published six times a year, mailed to all members and also distributed on the Australian and international Mensa websites. I am the editor, responsible for commissioning, writing and editing content, as well as graphic design, print production and mail management.

NSW Freshwater Fisher

Monthly email newsletter of the NSW Council of Freshwater Anglers

 

NSW Freshwater Fisher is a monthly email newsletter for the NSW Council of Freshwater Anglers, the leading recreational freshwater fishing organisation in NSW.

I write and edit the newsletter and produce it using the MailChimp application. Information is sourced from members of the organisation, NSW government websites and the general media. The newsletter includes text, photos, links to other articles and reports, sponsors’ advertisements and embedded videos.

A database of around 800 subscribers is managed within the MailChimp application, with scheduled broadcasting, full reporting of opening rates, click-through rates and links to the NSW CFA’s Facebook and website pages.

Naming project for a hedge fund

 

Development of a new company name for a specialist asset manager. The name is based on the Greek word for anchor. Criteria for the name included shortness, being at start of alphabetically arranged league tables and uniqueness so that the name could be registered in multiple international internet domains and business name registers.

NSW RecFisher is a monthly email newsletter for the Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW, the main recreational fishing representative organisation in NSW.

I write and edit the newsletter and produce it using the MailChimp application. Information is sourced from members of the organisation, NSW government websites and the general media. The newsletter includes text, photos, links to other articles and reports, sponsors’ advertisements and embedded videos.

A database of around 4000 subscribers is managed within the MailChimp application, with scheduled broadcasting, full reporting of opening rates, click-through rates and links to the Recreational Fishing Alliance's Facebook page, website and other relevant recreational fishing websites.

The Flowing Stream is a hard cover book about the first 100 years of trout fishing in New South Wales. Published under my Creek of Peace imprint. I was responsible for research, writing, editing, graphic design, production management of printing and import of the book from printers in China.

The Speckled Success, by fishing author Bill Brinsley is a history of trout in NSW from their introduction in the second half of the nineteenth century to the present day. The book was published under my Creek of Peace imprint.
